The role of the Stewardship Coordinating Committee is to assist the pastor and parish leadership in creating an environment that encourages and enables parishioners to respond to their baptismal call to discipleship. When we recognize that everything we have and everything we are is a gift from God, how can we not be truly thankful?
Our response to this challenge is embodied by the recognition of the core principles of stewardship. It’s a way of living in which we are totally immersed in our connectedness with God and with one another. Stewardship is a path to holiness that reflects who we are and what we believe as disciples of Jesus Christ. Thus, the Baptism we received prompts us to share a portion of our gifts in service to God and one another.
The Stewardship Committee seeks to accomplish its mission through activities that encompass Formation, Communication, and Empowerment. The committee is comprised of active and “at large” members and may include sub-committees according to the specific need of the time.
Co-Chaired by Janice Nelson and Lea Murphy, the Committee at has more than 20 active members who are dedicated to nurture an environment in which stewardship is understood, accepted and practiced as a way of life at St. Philip Neri – St. Albert the Great Parish.
