Team Captains


The Team Captain is a critical position in the campaign organization. The Team Captain is the catalyst in bringing the appeal information to the general population of the parish. They must make it known precisely what it is we are trying to accomplish, and the reasons behind our drive.
The Team Captain's role is two-fold. First, the captain is responsible for assisting the Leadership in recruiting volunteer workers who will call on parishioners. Second, the Team Captain oversees the workers assigned to his/her team. The team's goal is to visit all assigned parishioners.

The Role of the Team Captain:

  • Assume responsibility for a team of volunteers during the Special and General Gifts Phases.
  • Participate in all meetings.
  • Assist in the recruitment and team assignment of volunteers.
  • Support the campaign.
  • To personally contact, with an associate volunteer, all assigned prospects.
  • Attend events associated with the campaign.
Notify the Campaign Office of the number of team members attending weekly meetings.
